Prior to the museum purchasing this car, it had been used as a DARE car for the Cowlitz County Sheriff's Office in Washington State and for Kelso Police Department prior to that. The drive line had been replaced completely. The cars appearance was changed with much of the chrome replaced with powder coating. We have since done quite a bit of mechanical work, replaced the bubblegum light with correct lights for that period, added radio and antenna, and most recently chromed the bumpers and added back the bumper guards. The car is marked representing the Silver State National Peace Officers Museum and served as a rolling promotion in parades, car shows, and outside of the museum during the summer.
